    Poems are Earth friendly

I wrote this at the Northwest String Summit.  Read with zest.  Enjoy.

    The Hideout

    Getting your shoes

    is always a feat

    when you ride

    hopped up hay wagons

    pushin' squares

    across the sunset's slab

    sliced behind

    a melted

    mountain range

    where our flare got

    the best of the

    beat as I

    skip hop stopped

    to flash

    my superhero card

    just to sneek

    by and dive

    toungue first

    into cotton candy

    webs with freaky

    legs and long lost

    disco dancers

    under a rock that

    finally rolled

    with a hula-hoop

    smooth

    move sheading low

    blue lights in a

    sparkle fog

    where the iced eyes

    of the train

    conductor could not

    speak as we tip

    tap toed silently

    to a tiny tune

    tracked upon

    four folk fresh feet

Well thank you for bringing a smile to a stressful day. :)

I've never attended String Summit, but I know the feeling of a good bluegrass festival fueled by whiskey, fire, and hayrides.

    Nice to meet you, Lindsay!
