Eye of the Dolphin, is
the first installment in a trilogy about a young girl and her relationship with a dolphin. It received numerous accolades leading up to its
theatrical release and was awarded Official Selection status in more than
20 festivals and won multiple awards, including Best Picture and Best Actress
at the International Family Film Fest.
Eye of the Dolphin has
paved a heartfelt and inspirational road, giving promise to its sequel Way of the Dolphin.
Alyssa, now 18 and a town hero,
finds herself getting into less trouble and is quite content living in the Bahamas with
her father, Hawk, and three marine friends – Dolphins: Rasca, Bogie and Bacall.
Life is tranquil until young, good-looking Morrison vacations in town, catching
Alyssa’s eye. Skeptical of Morrison, Hawk watches his every move, especially
with his daughter. As conflict stirs between Alyssa and her father over
Morrison, a threat of eco-terrorism hits home- Rasca is kidnapped. Alyssa, Hawk,
Morrison and the entire town are hot on the trail after Rasca, but clues aren’t
adding up. Hawk is convinced that Morrison knows more than he’s revealing and
misleading the search party. Does Morrison know where Rasca is? The mission
begins.
Written by multi-Emmy winning
writer Wendell Morris, Way of the Dolphin brings back the some of the same loveable characters. Carly Schroeder, who acts
alongside Hillary Duff in teen hit TV series “Lizzy McGuire”, played Harrison
Ford’s daughter in Firewall and starred
as a teenager who fights to give women the opportunity to play competitive
soccer in Gracie, returns as the
lead. Her co-star George Harris is most currently known for his performance in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and cannot be forgotten in indie hit Layer Cake and blockbuster Black Hawk Down. Christine Adams (Batman Begins) is also back on the
screen.
